This policy explains what happens to information when you use Health Appeal Map (healthappealmap.com).

The short version

You do not need an account. When you download, copy or print one of our letters or the checklist, we save only your name, your phone or email (if you gave one), your state and which document it was. We never save anything about your health, your diagnosis, your treatment, your plan or your claim. We do not sell information. We run a cookie-free visit counter to see how many people use the site.

What we do not collect

Health information is sensitive, so we keep it off our servers. We do not save or send: diagnoses, conditions, treatments, medicines or services, the name of a doctor, hospital or clinic, the name of your health plan or insurer, member, claim, policy, Medicaid or case numbers, what was denied or the reason given, any date you enter (including the date on your notice), your street address, the address you write to, the items you checked, or anything you type in your own words. Those details stay in your browser and in the file you create.

The letters, the checklist and the deadline calculator

The tools work in your browser, and the PDF, Word and text files are created on your device. When you download, copy or print a letter or the checklist, we save: the name you entered, the phone number or email you entered (if any), the state you chose and the type of document. We also record the page, the date and time, and your approximate location (country and state) based on your IP address. We do not save anything you type until you download, copy or print, and then only the items just listed.

The deadline calculator works only in your browser. The state, the kind of decision and the date you enter are not saved or sent.

We use the saved information to understand how many people in each state use our tools and to improve our guides. We do not sell it, and we do not share it except with service providers that host our site and database (Cloudflare), or if the law requires it. We keep it for up to three years, then delete it. To see or delete it, email hello@robinclaim.com with the name you used, and we will respond within 30 days.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request, to deliver the page and protect the site.

We run our own visit counter. It does not use cookies. It keeps a random visit identifier in your browser's local storage. For each visit it records the pages viewed, the site you came from, the time spent on each page, clicks on buttons and links, your IP address, your country, state and city, and your device and browser type. We keep visit records for 5 years and then delete them. We do not use Google Analytics on this site.

Email, children and your rights

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. Please do not send us health or insurance details by email. This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights.
